Philippines survives another typhoon

âThe worst is over,â according to an official of the state-run weather bureau after forecasting that âSantiâ (international codename: Mirinae) has crossed over Southern Luzon and was headed towards the South China Sea.
Nathaniel Cruz, spokesman for the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), was also optimistic about the good weather on All Saintsâ Day this Sunday.
âThe worst is over,â said Cruz in an interview over the radio.
