Vietnam’s Princess d’Annam Resort Offers Windsurfing Package

Vietnam’s Princess d’Annam Resort and Spa on Ke Ga Bay is offering a learn-to-kite surf package. Launched April 1, the package is set at $1,295 for two surfers staying three nights, including accommodation and two three-hour sessions with an internationally qualified instructor.

Post-lesson, kite surfers will repair to the resort’s spa for a 50-minute After Sun Cucumber Body Wrap, then enjoy a Princess d’Annam bouillabaisse dinner on the resort’s terrace. Both are included in the package price. Surf Experience also covers a bottle of wine and fruit basket on arrival and fresh fruit and drinking water while learning to surf. Complimentary Wi-Fi use across the resort is also included.

The resort has found that guests, increasingly, want to marry upscale amenities with challenging activities, especially those that are unique to a given region. The solar winds of Ke Ga Bay are world famous. The first session begins with the basics of equipment and safety and ends with a third hour in the water.

The next three-hour session is all in the water and will see guests progressing on the basics of standing, surfing and turning. Single travelers can experience the new package for $925. Alternatively couples, with only one surfer, can also enjoy the package priced at $1,055.

The all-villa resort is located 90 miles from Ho Chi Minh City on Ke Gay Bay. Guests can chose between three levels of accommodation. The village style layout offers views of the sea including the historic lighthouse at Ke Ga Cape which was built in 1899. The Kite Surf Experience is inclusive of 5 percent government tax and a 5 percent service charge and is commissionable to bona fide travel agents.
